When Fidel qualified our Revolution as miracle, he was right; every Revolution is a miracle, an extraordinary fact, inexplicable and amazing. A Revolution is an event that distinguishes man from animal; it is the high fact of culture.
These are times when man rise over nature, and appetites; he embarks on the odyssey of being spirit, God, of recreating the world in seven days. He liberates from the animality chains, always the same, just instinct, foreseeable by nature, of being dominated by nature, by genes, and the miracle is done.
The fundamental requirement for a Revolution is the unchained imagination, then pioneer’s courage, the first flight, breaking paradigms; the non-conformity of remaining and always move forward.
Those are scarce requirements; the tendency is to stillness, to apply what is known. To live in what is established, not making waves, everything has to remains.
Rose Luxemburg said in a letter to Franz Mehring: “Socialism is not just a problem of knife and fork, but a movement of culture, a great and powerful conception of the world”.

It is a beautiful definition of miracle: to change the culture and the conception of the world. Certainly, it is not an issue of quantitative management of some economic rates; it is a drastic change in the economic and social relations, a new way to connect with humans and nature. It is an explosion of all, and over that sparkle we found.
In the Bolivarian Revolution, it is okay that we feel happy about the increasing rate, or because it was done without affecting the social assistance plans. But showing that, the rise of capitalism, the “harmony” of what is social, and the capitalist selfishness as a road towards Socialism; that is a big mistake. At least, Che alerted us about it, and because less than that the Socialist field crumbled.
Let’s not forget that there is a narrow relation between the economic shape (knife and fork) and the consciousness that interweave within (the “cultural movement”, the great and powerful conception of the world). We want to say that the capitalism’s growth do not stay behind in the rates and economic tables, it is multiplied by thousands of collective souls.
In such way, selfishness grows, which is the psyche base of capitalism, its culture. In other words, those rates indicate –among other things- the strengthening of the capitalist field, the grave-diggers of Socialism.
Now that the empire showed its tusk, those rates become more important: it is about weakening the spiritual base from the answer towards aggression.
The brandished argument that -we grew up with a social well fare- has in its bosom the negation of Socialism. It is other way of saying: “without capitalism we do not produce wealth”, it is the contradiction in suggesting that capitalism creates the wealth that Socialism deals.
Such naivety will lead us to defeat. It causes us to paraphrase that famous sentence and say: “the economy is so important that it cannot be left in hands of economists”.
With Chávez all!!
