WHERE DOES SOCIALISM LAY?

The planet’s situation is dramatic, capitalism is stronger than ever, it walks wracked by thousand contradictions, it drags crisis, and it has more problems than ever, but paradoxically without any ideology that faces it. This moves the planet, led by the hand of capitalism towards the destruction of the balance of life.

The most advanced governments in the world, the most sensible, denounce the aggressions against the environment, the danger of keeping the path towards capitalism, the suicidal of their paradigms is to continue consuming and producing with the craziness that we it do today. But, without explanation no one, no government does anything to change course of it.

Just an indicative, it is expected that the oil consumption will get to the limits of natural crime, it is expected about 200 million barrels a day and it projects an upward curve. The countries are preparing to participate in the funereal feast, which means the extinction of the species. We can measure the level of insanity of the species by the level of oil consumption, because of its tendency and volume.

We must conclude that despite the agreements, summits, the tendency is to increase insanity, consumption and waste of natural resources.

Thus, we must say it one more time, Socialism is life or death. However, there are a thousand ways of Socialism, each country wants to do their own, and many are mere reforms. But, how can we know which of those thousands goes on the right track?

Today the main measure must be the rescue of harmony with nature, which is the most important feature of Socialism, rather than the elimination of surplus value, the hegemony of private property, and the establishment of an awareness of loving relations. Harmony with nature is more important, our life goes with it, if we do not rescue harmony with nature or extinction will condemn us. Harmony can not be achieved without Socialism, it includes, supposes, all its other characteristics.

Thus, beyond the names, now in the world some say, of the adjectives most often clarifying mask, above the names are the facts, the changing relationship with nature, that is the importance Socialism Main today.

Socialism is the only hope of mankind, it is the only way to conquer the masses for change of world view, and this is a prerequisite for establishing new relationships with nature. This change of view, this possibility of new relationships is what, today, justifies the Socialism.

No society can be assumed to be a socialist without deep contrast to the rest of the world, if you keep eating, wasting gasoline, electricity, measuring progress by the number of cars, the economy by GDP and ignoring the limits of development, packed in large megalopolis.

The challenge is to find our socialism, make it practical, to astonish and guide the world. Either we do or the nature redeems your balance ... without us.

THE SENTENCE

The Supreme Court of Nature came into session.

The rapporteur of the Prosecutor’s Office reads the charges:

"The seas and skies are dying polluted by man; forests report desertification; rivers report their disappearance, ice reports its melting, animal and plant species reveal their extinction. Humans have committed a huge genocide, thousands of species are disappearing and thousands of them had already disappeared”.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Nature calls the maximum penalty against this species...

The rapporteur of Defense has the word:

"Progress is not genocide, it is collateral damage. If we look at all that the human species has achieved, we will have to accept that it has been more beneficial than evil. Computers, airplanes, cars, large mega cities are a monument of creativity of life. We can travel faster than ever, there is no place on the planet forbidden to progress; the creative hand of man comes to the poles where there are cruise ships sailing in what used to be ancient ice.

This year, we emerged from the crisis and we started again the path of economic growth.

We conclude that, what human has created -from the pyramids, to the twin towers- justify that some species disappear, or the sea and sky get a bit dirty”.

The Court deliberates and produces the sentence, the faces were grim, mournful, and they were ready to read it when the voice of an old man stopped and asks to be heard.

The discussion takes several minutes, but given the finality of the judgment, it was decided to let the old-bearded-man talk:

“I have dedicated my entire life to the defense and recovery of this unique species in the world. It does not have a certain condition, the human condition depends on how it is organized, it is able to create idols and surrender to their feet. The accusations of this Court are heard as true, we become a genocide species; dangerous ... we deserve the punishment of extinction that surely contains the sentence.

However, this species deserves an opportunity, it is true, it gathers all the bad things that the Prosecutor’s Office has said, and it has shown its arrogance and pedantry on the absurd arguments of the defense. But, it is also true that this is species victim of a monster: capitalism, which is the real culprit, the one who turned the species into a plague.

We respectfully request, in honor to an entire history of struggles against the monster, (do not forget that years ago we denounced in Rio de Janeiro the threat of extinction of this species;, we ask to give to men of good will a chance, and that the sentence is postponed for few years, we promise to build a world where nature is respected, a socialist world”.

We do not know the outcome of the meeting, sometimes it seems that they granted the extension, and sometimes not. Will the Court be waiting for our behavior?

THE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF CHAVEZ

When the history seemed to be stopped and the revolutionary theorists invented shortcuts to change of coat, when the people watched slide their leaders, the future was on the ground and high flight was a crazy thing.

In those days of the end of history, of fukuyamas and tonis Negris, of riots that did not destroy or build, of "we are, but not that much", of "capitalism is not bad, we just need to control abusers", in those times where humanity fell into the darkness of conformity and the Quixote sheltered on an heroic island, in those days the miracle occurred and it was called Chavez.

The vast historical dimension of Chavez is hard to capture by his contemporaries, the everyday and evilness cloud the historical comprehension. Let's see.

The socialist cause was crushed by a multitude of distracting theories, the eurocommunism had sealed the capitulation of Europe, and similar theories emerged on the planet. The Soviet Union, China, evolution into its opposites, capitalism dominated through the world. Only the lonely voice of the Caribbean Prophet shouted from his island warning that the world ran towards its destruction.

In this environment, a breach on the domination system that was established by capitalists occurred, a fracture on the bourgeois electoral system, which manages to hold the masses spellbound and legitimize the agents of capitalism.

On February the 4th, a government established in bourgeois elections, was not recognize due to a fact of force of revolutionary character; which is equivalent to 1810, when a consecrated monarchy was not recognized by God. This was the first historical event. Then Chavez, a disobedient candidate to the oligarchies, who wins the elections designed to prevent such triumphs.

From there the miracle displays: the government declares itself anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist and anti-socialist! This position was a flash in the worldwide darkness that murdered the possibility of life. The world's eyes were fixed in the country who dared to reach out the Socialism arm and break the unanimity of conformity.

If we accept that humanity inevitably dies under capitalism, we will realize the extraordinary importance of the actions of Chavez: he reopened the path to the socialist hope, in other words, the path towards the salvation of humanity.

The road has not been easy; all the forces of the capitalist empire have conspired against hope. Confusion has been sown, deviations are proposed and the fascist vultures hovering looking for weaknesses.

Now it is necessary to continue with the miracle, it is imperative that Socialism is performance in a new relationship between man and nature, and that the notion of harmony prevails over the harmful notion of development. It is necessary and vital to rebuild the loving relation between humans, it is necessary to rethink the needs and the way to satisfy them. If we do not do it, restoration will come and the flame will extinguish.

The lightning that broke the darkness must be protected, it should not cease.

IDEOLOGY OF VANGUARD

Let’s recall that the forms of property, consciousness, ideas, are not independent, they form a group where they influence each other. We know that, in disagreement with the postulates of the classical writers, revolutions have happened in countries of low development of productive forces, and low proletariat. This brings out a question: how was possible to make revolution with countries with low development?, what is the teaching and how to apply it? Let's see.

While realizing the revolutionary possibility in a country with little development of productive forces, with little proletariat, immediately becomes evident a contradiction between the ideologies that arise from this situation and ideological developments of the world Revolution.

If Revolution is captured by the proper ideologies of that precarious level of development of productive forces, then it be will dilute in the conservative political forms, late, at most bourgeois, and it will not make the historical leap. Such was the case after the fall of perez jimenez: during that time, the villager ideology that guided us, could not break the logic of domination.

Now, if Revolution is driven by the ideology of vanguard, for the most advanced at that time, then Revolution will break the logic of domination. Such was the case of the Independence Revolution of America: the liberators assimilated the French Revolution theory, the Bourgeois Revolution; although here, there was not a developed bourgeoisie. They were able to defeat the ideologies that revolved around monarchical domination, as the one proposed by the Protection of Rights Board of Fernando VII.

The Cuban Revolution is an extraordinary example: there, they knew how to make a revolution from the field, but led by the most advanced ideology of that time. So, they got to rise above their circumstances.

The lesson is clear to us: it is necessary to rise above the ideologies that emanate from our lack of material development, overcoming the ideologies that feed of our condition of rentier, and rely ourselves on the most advanced universal revolutionary thought, on the thought of the Cuban Revolution, Che, Fidel.

It is indispensable the Social property of means of production, administered by the State, that is the only way to be social. It is urgent to elevate the Consciousness of Social Duty, bringing the economic forms and the Consciousness of Social Duty to excess. So, with the excess the worlds are founded.

If we fall prey to the proper ideologies of our condition of rentier country, if we surrender to the logic installed -by centuries- of political patronage, and if we seek the revolutionary answer within the outputs of "collective selfishness", non social, we will be in the best of cases, distributing the incomes more equitably, but not founding a new society. And so, to the little adverse blowing wind, all will makes us collapse. The selfish collective forms (non social) will be necessarily against the Revolutionary Government, and in the end we will realize that we are walking in circles, and we let drain the opportunity to realize the miracle.

LEOPOLDO'S FACE

Leopold has the profile of a "good boy": jogging and jumping, he has the face of a nice guy from the eastern side of the capital. He was born in the cradle of the oil meritocracy and under the cloak of the bourgeois media distortion. He has many flaws, a very important one is the excesive agitation of spoiled child. Rushing in politics is a bad counselor. He, powered by this defect, founded his own party, and carried by impatience showed the teeth of the facist plan that now he pretends to conceal. Let's see.

The mayor of Chacao, was the chosen piece to coordinate the entry of paramilitaries, they would not be smuggled into a farm as they did before, now they will take advantage of the legal cracks of our peaceful Revolution and, aided by a questionable legality, they attempted an agreement with Colombian paramilitaries, a pact lubricated by Uribe.

The news appears like this:

"José Obdulio Gaviria who in recent days -Chacao's mayor- Emilio Graterón, appointed as an advisor to his office to "identify and develop strategies in order to dismantle anti-social groups engaged in kidnapping in the city”, has a criminal record in Colombia.

Juan Carlos Tanus, a representative of the group Colombians for Peace, told to the Venezuelan News Agency (VNA) and warned that Gaviria -who served as an adviser for Colombia's president, Alvaro Uribe- is a disquialified figure which should be applied an international investigation of crimes and offenses against humanity.

As we may recall, the mayor of Chacao, Emilio Graterón, announced on Saturday December 17th, that through an agreement with the Colombia's expresident's team (Alvaro Uribe), Jose Obdulio Gaviria will advise Chacao's Police, in security matter. "

This is the part of the oligarch plan which is purely military. The psychological preparation taks belongs to leopoldo and the distorting media of reality in order to accept any cruelty, they are responsible for terrorizing the population with insecurity and show -as a panacea- the road already faild, proposed by the colombian oligarchy and that has mired that brother country in a terrible civil war that has lasted over half a century.

The other side of the leopold-uribe's plan is politics. The paramilitary force that will be formed with the first intention of ending the lack of safety in the second phase would be a destabilizing instrument, a military arm of the pro-coup plan, mercenaries, builders of a false image of destabilization, that justify cruelties as in Libya, or Syria ... or as in Colombia.

Revolution must be defended, removing the hoax, preventing the formation of fascist bodies in our noses. We must understand that today's dilemma is Socialism or fascism, Socialism or barbarism, that only Socialism is capable of stopping the threat of a fascist war.

Now more than ever Socialism and Chávez are the peace, are now more than ever there are reasons to vote for him.

THE SOCIAL COMPENSATION

Capitalism produced a huge social debt, it plunged society into the material and spiritual misery: hunger, exclusion from all the benefits and from opportunities that covered the majorities.

Socialism must pay that debt; it is a duty and a necessity. However, it is impossible to pay the social debt only materially, it is indispensable or risk that everything will collapse, building new relationships -now loving- between these men along with nature, building a new world where there is no appropriation of another's work, as Marti said: "everyone fight for the benefit of all".

Everyone for the benefit of all, which is a great summary of what Socialism is. But, how do we implement it? What are the main points governing its construction?

The classic writers left us the pillar of theory, which is indispensable for the construction of Socialism: "From each one according to his/her ability, to each one according to his/her needs". This precept has its roots within the early Christianity, the one that Christ left us in his sermons, in community life.

The Bolivarian Revolution on its road towards Socialism must adapt to its reality to the universal Socialist theory, which is the result of centuries of human struggles to free from the selfish monster that it created himself.

Revolution must start from reality of rentier country, with distortions in our economy and our social behavior, where richness comes from the income instead of coming from work. Politics in these hundred years of oil revenues has been marked by this situation. The oil compensation, the distribution of income, ranks the governments: "who distributes more is better". During prosperity the government is sympathetic; when the incomes are low the government is struggling.

The leftovers of oil incomes gave stability to the governments, the people drugged of consumerism were sinking in the spiritual and material misery. Patronage was the opium of the people, the gifts muffled any protest.

This material and spiritual structure must be demolished, it is necessary to remedy the material lacks, and especially to replace the spirituality that used to hold that evil shell. This is where the theoretical pillar of Socialism becomes important. Let's see.

By giving each one according to his/her needs, a house, access to health, education, etc.., we are compensating for the social debt within the material.

By demanding each one according to his/her ability, giving back what it was received, compensating for society the benefit that this gives to it, we are creating social awareness, creating the Awareness of Social Duty.

Any benefit for society -through the State- given for the individual must be compensated with work, according to its capacity. The benefits that society gives are not an economic transaction; it is an exchange of affection and love.

The Cuban-Venezuelan Geopolitics

Venezuela and Cuba are a geopolitical entity that goes beyond what is merely geographical, they are ideollogically linked, the two nations have the same historic objective: the construction of Socialism. This fact conferes to this unity a vital significance for humanity, and simultaneously its example is established as a empire's military target. Let's see.

The brightest minds in the world agree on the danger of the extinction of life on earth. Recently, Fidel Castro -confirming what he alerted more than twenty years ago in Rio de Janeiro- wrote: "...What I want is to place myself in the current starting point of our species and to talk about the march towards the abyss. I could even talk about the “inexorable” march and I would surely be closer to reality. The idea of a Final Judgement is implicit in the religious doctrines most prevalent among the inhabitants of the planet, without anyone to qualify them of pessimistic. I think, on the contrary, a elementary duty of all serious and sane people, and they are millions, to fight in order to postpone and perhaps prevent, that dramatic and close event in the world.

There are numerous dangers threaten us, but two of them -nuclear war and wheather change- are crucial and both are increasingly far from approaching a solution”.

Clearly, the critical situation that the human species is going through is caused by capitalism, it is also beyond any doubt that the fate of the species will be determined by their ability to overcome capitalism as soon as possible, if they do not do so, "the way to the abyss" that predicts Fidel in his reflection will become reality.

That is why the Cuban-Venezuelan geopolitical formation is important. It is one of the few opportunities in the world to consolidate Socialism, i.e., to really overcome capitalism, and give humanity a hope, a role model. That is the challenge that we face.

We, as hope of overcoming the capitalist plague, are simultaneously the main military objective of the empire in its death rattle. All their intelligence and evilness is lined against us.

The empire is wise, it is a summary of millenia of domination, it is powerful. The empire develops a plan against us, they know that the union Cuba-Venezuela will mean to erase, perhaps forever, the social possibilities of humanity.

They attack the weakest flank of the geopolitic formation, they know that when Venezuela falls, the Cuban Socialism would be in serious trouble.

We must understand that the fate of the two countries is common, we must learn to think as a unit, complementing each other in the construction and defense of the socialist option. Thinking together, acting together. Maybe that is the internationalism that the classic writers talk about. That is our responsibility.

Otherwise, we will digging the grave of manking if we do not do so, reviewing each country and collaborating with agreements, that is true, but without overcoming administrative arrangements and understanding ourselves as a single political unit.
